Praulia + Kwest | Race To The Altar

This past Sunday, I participated in my first bridal event/show with Praulia! They collaborated with Kwest to host a bridal scavenger hunt throughout Deep Ellum, with a reception at Hickory Street Annex featuring Praulia vendors.

Now, what is Praulia? You can say it's the equivalent to match.com, but for wedding vendors. It's a convenient way to get matched with vendors based on price, style, etc. If somebody chooses me as a makeup artist, I get a notification regarding my availability so I can discuss details with the potential client. I know not everyone can afford a wedding planner who already has an extensive vendor list for clients to choose from and there are some brides to be who are type A and can handle planning their own wedding. I met Jen Voecks (CEO, Praulia) at an event that I attended at the DEC (Dallas Entrepreneur Center). I was very interested in her company & next thing I know, signed up to become a vendor & got approved!

It was my first time being at Hickory Street Annex, I love the ambiance so much! That is the perfect venue for warm, dark, and moody wedding photos. Overall, I had fun at the event. Best aspect about the reception that followed right after the scavenger hunt, it was very laid back & intimate. The introvert in me love casual engagements when meeting potential clients. I definitely headed to the bar after I was done doing mini makeovers.

Jen, you did an amazing job & you should definitely host more bridal scavenger hunts in the future. I'm glad she brought out a non traditional vibe/aesthetic to a bridal show. Check out the few photos that I was able to take before the reception started.
